Slightly streaky planchet (I like 'em that way)
Very sharp strike

Slider Unc Details if those are hairlines on the reverse and the luster is flat like in the pics - left front leg and area under Buffalo is my main concern there; or if they are just cabinet rub, roll rub or light circulation wear then low end Unc maybe?. I don't know how to grade these well enough to be confident at all!

I don't think this is an MS Buff Nickel . I'm leaning towards AU-57 .

Matching EDS dies
No observable die clashing, and no observable clash polishing. From the overall die polishing in the fields, I'm guessing this was a pretty early strike from the die pair.
High grade (more on that below)
Strong strike for the date (full rachis on the first and second feathers, though a bit soft on the first feather, and a full calamus on the second feather). Notice the exceptional clarity on LIBERTY and EPU.

The 1919-S is one of many early dates known for mismatched die pairings. This coin is a really nice example for the date. I'd jump at this over an ugly UNC any day. It's a bit of a condition scarcity (not quite rarity) EF and higher.

Light wear on the usual high spots. Some evidence of an old wiping, market acceptable. I'm at AU-55, and definitely the high end for the grade. IMHO, this one snags a bean. You did very well here. You snagged this at barely an EF price, and with this strike and appearance, it should bump the slider/low UNC price envelope.

Can't add much more than FC on this one!

But seriously, look at LIBERTY! The way it should look, sharp and defined, no signs of deterioration!

I will have to go with a details grade though. Those hairlines will hold it to AU-55 Details in my book, but one I wouldn't mind having for sure!
