$108. Again the motivation was a mid-20s SF-mint buffalo with a full horn. This one also has a scratch going across the buffalo but it doesn't look too bad. Thoughts? Thanks!

Another streaky planchet. I love those way too much.

Looks EF40? I really need to learn how to grade these better.

I think we have the best of the best for grading in this series with fortcollins and Ty2020b who are real specialists like you are with copper and other series. Hope they weigh in. I feel privileged to be able to learn from all of you.

EF-40 from these photos. Not sure if the scratch will be enough to "details' it.
Rest in Peace

From your photo it looks like there is another I next to the original I only a little lower . I agree to EF-40 and the reverse scratch is minor .

Overall nice example. Slightly better than average strike, I'd call it well struck. 27-s is very tough in a full strike, difficult in well struck, but not rare in well struck. Some strike weakness in the usual spots on the obverse in the hair above the knot. Sharper images would help see the tip of the 1st feather. Slight strike weakness noticeable on the reverse at the high points, but wear is also evident.

Fortcollins can comment more accurately on die state than I, but looks MDS. Die polishing noticeable around the profile, visible around the forehead. Some Die Deterioration noticeable on the reverse above USOA, but not seeing much in the way of clashing.

Not 100% on surface originality. Curious how the obverse color looks in hand, primarily along the periphery. Reverse scratch is slightly distracting but not enough to warrant a problem grade.

I'm at a solid XF40
