I appreciate all the help here. I have been learning so much. Reading posts and comments here. Articles on other sites. Learning to look for size and appearance change. Reading (and rereading several times 1 particular one by I think coop? I can't be certain) things on spread, notches and things I can't focus on like ccw pivot at 9 o'clock (these here I'm struggling). Looking for difference between thickness and damage. Trying to understand how some things are or how to know it is. Die crack or damage Idk. Rim error I can't find much on really, most of all though, have sometimes almost total confusion searching wexlers. Things that are damage on one coin are error on next. And sometimes it's on same coin. 1 letter mark means doubled 2 letters down same mark is a scratch.

Now I'm not actually asking for help with these. I'm saying I am(was, will explain) feeling confident about choices but I'm stuck at point where I either am or I'm not and I don't know any other way to find out. So after 1st and almost instant thing that got attention I started finding other things. Which was ok , I see coins on wexlers constantly w/multiple errors. Then I went to wexlers. And there's no listing for it. Then I went to error.ref.com and nothing. So I went to variety vista and it had listed. But not available to click on. Which means no files right?

So tbh, I'm actually still fairly sure I'm at least not horribly wrong completely. So my question is. Point blank I, respectfully, would like to know based on my "evaluation" of this quarter, would you say you feel I am or have learned. Or would you say you're terrified for future society if people like me are allowed to breed. You know a couple of you found it funny admit it . I also think you know I'm completely joking. You've shown your sense of humor. As well as patience so I'm pretty sure you'd never say 2nd part. I think....& And you qualify for sainthood if you're still reading.

P.s. I'll throw in vote for Nobel if you keep that patience when you see photos. There's not a thing you've advised I haven't done. It is simple. A photographer I am not.

So starting w/what 1st got almost immediate attention, on bust. Forehead and lips specifically. I think this is what when reading your advice I should be looking for for DD.

The n in IN and e in WE. Though if all I had seen in here was e probably would have called damage.

Above AR in QUARTER between leaves along stem I want to call it a die break. I didn't think it was DD or crack either dc or damage.

Also another spot on stem above 2nd l in dollar(which also includes view of 2 leaves directly above stem spot and then next one up branch from it. These I would say DD.

Now there are other things going on cracks and and such I won't bring up them I'm not that brave yet and you've been handed enough except to say while taking photos found spot above M. Accidentally deleted that pic and tried to refind unsuccessfully

Thank you ahead of time, even for possible criticism. I assure you, your complete honest opinion is the help I'm asking for. Also if this quarter is listed somewhere I'd appreciate that info. I really would like to think I've at least stopped being a total newbie and that's kinda how I feel thinking I've found 1st one with problem right. But I still can't take back my choices. Just try not to draw blood too soon & :) :)

Note a doubled doubled.
1. The area on the face is Machine Doubling. Note the affected areas affected are on the outsides if the devices.
2. Other devices are showing a lot of circulation flattening. The 'E' is an incuse mark into that device.
3.On a doubled die, the areas to look for them that year is a bit harder than what you are looking for. Why do I say that?
Because on Variety Vista, Looking at that year for a DDO:
http://www.varietyvista.com/09b%20W...Listings.htm
Note there are no listings at all for that decade on these quarters.
Same on the DDR's:
http://www.varietyvista.com/09b%20W...Listings.htm
Again that is for the whole decade. So if there are non listed, they may not be any those years.

On the Wexler dies, they only list two for that decade:
http://doubleddie.com/721634.html
Neither are that year. So they are pretty much a was out (waste of time) to look for on these years. But note the years they did find DDO's
http://doubleddie.com/1827609.html
1990-S: Note the affected areas? Note these are the multi hub dies on the first listing.

On the second listing:
http://doubleddie.com/2337937.html
1997-P is probably the first year for the single squeeze dies. Not the DDO is on the earlobe. That is the area to look for on the 1997 forwards coins.
Studying the information helps to see where to look for the doubled dies, even though it is not the same year. The 1990 decade was a change over from the multi hub dies to the single squeeze dies. So examining the listed information could give clues as to what to look for. So all research is not a lost cause when you look to see what happened during that time period. So your questions were helpful to me, as I just figured out the change over time period. I was thinking 1999. But now I see it was a bit earlier.
Have you check out other answers to questions that you have not thought of yet? A lot of new information is added to this thread which right now is up to page 16. CoopHome (note it turned blue) has the answers to questions. There are thousands of images on these links. On this site when you see the letters in blue, click on them to get more information. Thanks for your questions.

I've done that more times than I care to state.. Soooo, you are not alone there. Now I need to go back and re-read what you posted up above in an attempt to make out what you are saying.

So on VV, they put a line in for every year/mint. If they have an error to list, there will be an active link to click, if the date/mint is not an active link - that means that there on no recorded error for that date/mint (yet), it is just a place holder in his web site.
