Hi Everyone , Am hoping you can look at this photo of rim error on a 1974 proof nickel and let me know if it is worth getting graded ( the rest of the coin is in great condition ) - am unsure if rim errors on proof 1974 nickels are popular or not worth the money to get graded at all

Would really like to see the full coin--obverse and reverse. Given the single image posted, the rim appears to have taken a hit (maybe...). Full sharp photos may tell us more.

It is damage, not an error. No way that could happen during the striking of the coin. Please do not use screen shots, they are too pixilated.

It is in the proof case. I can work to remove it and take some quality photos.

Turns out it was the case - not the coin that had the bump.
Sorry all - beginners error.

Cool! Happy it wasn't associated with the coin.

Well was going to give an 'expert' opinion of what happened - but since nothing happened, I have nothing to say.. Glad the coin is healthy and safe.

We look forward to see what else you might have to share with us. Please remember, full image photos of both sides of your coin and one or two close ups of areas of interest, and remember too, please no screen shots! to the CCF!
