Looks more like a 1980 P quarter to me, Can you fix your title?
Would that be a die crack or maybe a small clash?
The word 'Quarter' looks to have heavy circulation flattening to it.

I believe we're looking at Die Deterioration doubling--at least in large part.

The lettering on my coin is significantly thicker. So much so that the L and U are touching. This is a picture of the back of a 1980 P quarter from PCGS
