What is a 1982 Snowman Lincoln Cent? Why is it called this way?

I believe it has something to do with the '8'.

There is a large date and a small date variety of 1982 cents. On one (I don't remember which), the top part of the 8 is smaller than the bottom part, resembling a snowman. There are also differences in the twos, which I think is easier to spot.

Then there are zinc versus copper varieties for this year. So, seven in all.

There's lots of information out there on how to tell them all apart. Google "1982 Lincoln Cent varieties".

Ken

Thanks, I will share with my 11 year old daughter. I was kind of struggling with this.
