So, I recently purchased this from ebay. 1882cc Morgan. After receiving it, I immediately noticed it was cleaned which wasn't totally visible in the pics. What do yall think. Is it acceptable or should I return it?

I split your reply into its own topic for the proper attention. I was afraid it might get lost before the more knowledgeable members had a chance to see it.

I agree the coin has been cleaned. If the photos were deceptive, and you are not happy with the coin, return it.

Of course return it if you aren't happy with it.

But it's pretty apparent it's been cleaned, if the seller is hiding the surfaces that's a good indicator, so don't deal with these sellers.

I'd return it too. This coin is too common to have your hard earned money tied up in. Put it back into one you can be prouder of.

If you are looking for a pocket piece - keep it. If you are looking for one to place into an album or such, Return it.

I would return it. It definitely looks cleaned with your pics, but on the ebay seller's photos it doesn't look obviously cleaned, nor does he mention it in his description.

Ouch - harshly cleaned. A damaged coin will always be damaged. I would send it back and wait for an original surfaces example.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I am returning it and have found another 1882cc to replace it already. I'll show it when I get it.

Awesome, another case of buyer's remorse averted! You should always be happy about your coins, and always follow your gut feeling.

Uncleaned example, but a lower grade than the first one.
