coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 06/22/2022 8:42 pm Looks like part of the normal design. The die is aging and showing die wear. I think that is what you are seeing. Images #5, #6 are showing the die flow lines affecting the neck/hair area. That maybe causing what you are seeing on the area? Report this Post to the Staff

SilverCents Pillar of the Community United States 3281 Posts	Posted 06/23/2022 9:12 pm Quarters aren't exactly my cup of tea, so I don't know much about the types of doubled dies that are on certain years, but based on the close images of the date, it looks like Machine Doubling. At least, the doubling on the date is Machine Doubling. (Very nice photos by the way). Report this Post to the Staff
