Yes exactly, the die crack coming off Abe's noggin makes this a "spike head". The other die cracks in his hair makes this a "cracked skull" too.

I believe it stops just above the collar. It does go a fairly long way.

Actually, to be more accurate the collar of his jacket. I think it goes through the collar of his shirt.
