Hello! Newbie here :) Maybe someone in this forum can help me identify the error on this coin? Found this in a roll of quarters I got from my bank. The actual image on the coin is sunk in further than any other quarter. Also, as you can see in the photos, the rim has been riffed but it is very faint. A hammered pattern was paced over the riff. The hammering was made with a straight tool, not a ball peen hammer or similar. It is all the way around the rim. There seem to be no marks from any vice or anvil, so I'm tending to the thought that the hammer pattern came from the mint. Also, you would have to use great force to obtain this particular pattern, especially since it is quite consistent.

This coin was damaged in circulation and probably intentional. Not a mint error.

There is no way for that to happen during the
striking of the coin so it has to be damage.

Circulation damage--post-strike. Not an error.

It didn't come from the mint looking this way. Either intentional damage or just blind occurrence, it's not a mint error, just post mint damage.
