Going through our fresh rolls today and came across what we are calling, "The Twins".

I don't even know how to categorize these for selling but firmly believe that he just wanted to poke the "E" and got caught. At least that is the story my 10 year old and I are going towards.

Looking forward to comments, I'm sure I'll have more to share later! Happy Coin Hunting!!!

By the way, these are two separate quarters. Is this normal to find two similar errors?

Doesn't appear to be a clash area.

Very common die chip in that area (on the hat), but your quarter's chip is the largest one I have seen to date.

Pretty nice die chip you found (twice) If you are happy with them, you can call them 'chippy' and chipper'

I also have Crown Chip twins on ebay.
Item numbers:
374120130954 and 374120127849.
These are similar to yours,
but don't touch the"E".
One also has chips on ponytail and
mint mark.

Those are nice ones.

I believe the largest I've seen posted on these quarters was where the whole top of the hat had a die chip.
(I'll see if I can find the thread.)

Edit: Nope. Didn't find the thread but found an image online of the coin I remembered.
