I was trying to figure out what the slogan around the globe above meant, reading it over several times the translation wasn't quite correct, thank goodness for wiki: Proletarians of the world, unite!
(German: Proletarier aller Länder, vereinigt euch! ) is a well-known slogan of the international communist movement.
In the English version of the Communist Manifesto, which was prefaced by Engels in 1888, the word "proletariats" was changed to "working men".
This slogan was first coined by the French woman writer Flora Tristan, and later quoted by the German philosopher Karl Marx , in Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels ' 1848 " Communist Party " appeared in the Declaration.
"Communists disdain to conceal their views and intentions. They openly declare that their aim can only be achieved by the violent overthrow of all existing social institutions.
