Is there something specific about the coin that is making you think "counterfeit"?

Is its weight correct?

Looks ok to me, too.

What leads you to think it may be bogus?

I know absolutely nothing about this coin, so I'm interested in learning as to why you think it may be a fake.

Mainly from past experience with the seller.
Also the color of the coin makes me think that this is a modern minting.

I would have no problem assuming this coin is genuine, I see no red flags. Counterfeits of these are seldom seen anyway. In regards to the toning, the columbian exposition half dollars strangely seem to get that terminal black toning quite often, more than any other series I've seen. So, dark toning on the columbian halves is extremely common.
Suffering from bust half fever.

I also don't see any obvious problems. But I'd have to say, seeing that much detail on the sails and hair of an apparently circulated coin is pretty unusual. If you can get a weight, that would help.
