I see a common Washington quarter that is circulated and has some surface staining. Could you describe what are you seeing here?

Agree with the observations above.

It does appear--given the images posted--that some 'material' is missing from Washington's cheek/upper jaw area. Is that area sunken (incuse) or raised, or even with the surface?

It's really hard to get a photo of the multiple lines going through the reverse but I will try to get better photo of the reverse
