2016 D Lincoln Shield Die Cracks Obverse And Reverse

Agreed,no die cracks. Stuff is "on" the coin...PMD.

Agree with all above. If you're interested in mitigating the issue, suggest giving the coin a long soak in 100% acetone--might clear some of 'it' out.

Its die cracks. If you look it's a die crack that's running from the rim of the coin all the way up to Lincoln's coat in his bust. And on the back of the shield you can see the die chips from the die cracks both on the front and the back and it's a trench that runs from the rim runs under the D mint mark that runs under the lapel in his coat all the way up to the word IN God We Trust. You can clearly see the die crack trench running from up under the rim all the way through his bust trust me it's a die crack on the obverse and reverse. Take a closer look and you'll see that it's a trench beneath what you might call a stain but it's from the die crack. I've looked under the microscope and trust me I might not know everything but I know a die crack when I see it and it's on both the obverse and reverse of the coin

Thanks everyone!I don't usually do this but because I wanted to know for sure I tootpicked it and the tip of the tooth pick went down into the groove of it and I cleaned it and it's not a stain and if its not that or a die crack then I don't know but I'm moving on to the next penny. Its a lost cause now that ive cleaned it anyway.Lol!
