Hello to Canada, just found this 2006 Penny and it looks Proof like. No marks and clean fields but confusing to me as there are different types (magnetic & non-magnetic as well and a marker under the Queen, which my coin doesn't have). Very good looking coin but why the different types? Anyway the nicest one I have ever found! Regards to all.

To simplify things, a no logo is a copper coin, a P logo is a multi-plated coin
and the RCM logo replaced the P logo in 2006. There are magnetic
and non magnetic coins for each of the 3 varieties.
If your 2006 is magnetic, it is a wrong planchet and you have a winner.

Correct typo

JimmyD sorry for the confusion. My coin is not magnetic which I understand to be a steel planchet which is copper plated. Thank you for the information. As usual Regards,

A steel plated no logo no P magnetic is what you are thinking of. If the coin was a copper plated steel core it would be magnetic.

The two rare coins for the 2006 are the 2006 no logo no P but magnetic, and the even more scare one, the 2006P non magnetic.
