It could a be a die chip/die gouge on that area. The area may of chipped during a clash, or a tool may have been dropped on that area. But note the neck, it looks like it was heavy polished to attempt to remove it? The contour of the neck is missing and the devices are all smaller in size. Som sime die event happened on that die.

Have you pressed down on it with a tooth pick. It might be an air bubble? If it doesn't it maybe one of the issues I mentioned in my first comments.

I've pressed on it, with a wooden pick. It has no give. Feels very solid
