Hi everyone! I have recently started the hobby of looking for error coins and am really enjoying myself. I found an error (I think that is what it would be considered) and I can't find any information on it, so I am not sure if it is a one-of-a-kind or if there is more than one out there. It is a 2007P Montana quarter where it looks like there is a tear rolling down George's cheek, or a mole. If anyone has any knowledge of this error, comments, or thoughts on rarity or value, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!

to the CCF It is a die chip and is not considered an error. They are fairly common and add no value to the coin.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure if it was a die chip and if it added value or not. I appreciate your help.

to the CCF Is this raised? Looks more like a reed contact mark.

Quote: Is this raised? If you look at the lighting against the devices, you can tell it is raised or not. Look at the east side of the earlobe, which we know is raised and then look at the east side of the die chip, they both show the light source, on the east side.

Yes, it is definitely raised, and not a dent.

I wanted to correct a typo. This is a 2007 quarter, not 2017. Thanks for all of the welcomes!
