Name of the animals featured on the reverses of our circulating decimal coinage are as follows:

Feathered Tail Glider on the 1 cent Coin.
Frilled Neck Dragon Lizard on the 2 cents Coin.
Echidna on the 5 cents piece.
Lyrebird on the 10 cents piece.
Platypus on the 20 cents piece.

I was totally ignorant about the names of those animals.
I thought an emu was an ostrich, an echidna was an hedgehog.

Thanks to the Aussie friends in this forum, now I can tell the difference between a koala and a kiwi[:p]

Well, I could use an ice-cold Foster's right now :LOL

to keeep this on topic
Don't spend a coin on Fosters - it is a beer for tourists.
Try a Carlton

maybe some of you other blokes would like to list a few others

Funny- I don't drink and I know the nectars

The Lyre bird on the 10 cents If you collect these it would be ideal to look at them closely they are common to have the odd cud(blobs on them).
These are sometimes common on the 10 centers.

I only have Foster's here. a lot of local and a few European brands too.

Anyway, this is going towards becoming a drink thread. Although I have knowledge on drinks no less then about coins, lets keep it coin related

Any Morgan beers, Euro wines or Buffalo whiskeys out there? LOL
