I'm seeing two pictures of the same coin, which appears to have some kind of damage running through the portrait? I assume that's the error we're meant to be looking at? I can't see how damage like this can result from any error happening in the mint. There might be some kind of lamination issue happening, but if so, since it didn't become apparent until after the coin got considerably beaten up by circulation, it's not classified as a "mint error".
