i have a 1965 P quarter possibly a DDO and maybe DDR but I'm banking on it what is everyones thoughts what I'm looking at are the tips of the leaves and on the reverse I'm looking at the tips of the rockets

The Observe it is a normal die for 1965. Here no variety.
The Reverse it is an RDV-004 which it is very common for this year.
The tips of the leaves was normal at one point of the coin life. What you see is only circulation deterioration.

Sorry your coin it is a normal common coin. I hoped you show an RDV-003 but it is not.

Keep in mind the time period. At that time a soda was 10 cents and a lot of quarters were used in vending machines to purchase them. The machine removed/flattened the tops of the devices.

The devices are tapered and the flattening makes the devices look larger, but the base of the devices is what we are seeing on this coin.
