This is a roll find. Better looking (in my opinion) that the one I overpaid for on ebay recently. Would appreciate opinions on grade and any other comments. This is the obverse and reverse with and w/o flash. Same coin in all cases.

Thanks in advance!

Hawkeye

WOW - great find!
I'd give it an XF-45!

Thanks! After all the stinkers I've found lately, I feel a little better!

Do you of you know the 1909 VBD DD's well enough to tell if it's #2? I just can't tell and likely it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Nice find out of a roll. This looks at least AU-58. May even grade in the low MS range.

What a great find! AU58
I wonder if a collector put this in there to celebrate Lincolns B-day

Didn't think about a collector seeding the roll. Actually this was one of 3 that I bought (over paid) from ebay. The rest of the rolls were stinkers. I even got a nasty email from the seller because I posted the roll content on as feedback. I missed this coin on the first go through, so I suppose it evens up everything else. Absent this coin, I'd be one disappointed guy.

AU55RD it appears to me, I see some barely noticable wear on the cheek temple jaw and base of coat and on the right side wheat tips on reverse.

Just a slight rub on the cheek and beard, nice coin, no major hits, original surfaces, AU-58.

Thanks so much for the feedback on this! I'm feeling much better about overpaying for the roll on ebay. Last time I'll make that mistake!

Great coin. I don't see how you overpaid for that roll, unless you *really* overpaid.
