I have been, like many here I am sure, going to the same coin dealers for years, a few days ago one of my favorite dealer/friend said he had something special for me, knowing I collect many things. I wondered what he had. I was pleasantly shown an old U S Mint cent box with 50-rolls in it and a list attached to the lid it said: 6- 1968-s rolls 13-1960 rolls 5- 1973 rolls 4- 1974 rolls 5- 1972 rolls 11- 1971 rolls 4- 1964 rolls 2- 1970-s rolls I was very pleased to see the rolls were in original bank wrappers, since checking( I started with the 1972's I have found in 1 roll, what I believe to be 2-1972#8's I am not 100% sure because the #3 and #8 are very similar and the pup's are not that clear, all by the way are B U , some time, and bag marks but over all very nice, ms-63-64.I will let others know my progress when I know, I still can not believe 2 in one roll and in very nice shape, not a real big deal but to me the find was GREAT, What did you find... PS:I will post pictures when I can, good luck roll hunting! Edited by Morgans Dad 02/15/2009 12:50 am

I'm sure you know this all ready but make sure to check though 1960 and 1970-s rolls for small dates. Man, a BU 1970-s small date would be awesome.

Thanks to all, I have a good relationship/friendship with this one person, He is also a good person, loaded with knowledge and information I just can not get enough of. I do not sell any coins, tried that, been there, I just love to find things and collect all I can. I have not been through the lot totally yet and can not believe the condition some of these are in, talk about B U , well I will post some glistening pictures soon, and would hope all would share their finds also, the HUNT is the thrill of it all. I would also state that the cost of this "old box of coins", LOL, was worth almost any price as the thrill of looking through the window of the years gone by is almost priceless....

It makes a world of difference if your dealer knows you personally and puts things aside just for you. Over the last few years I have had this only a couple of times and am glad they have because I have added some nice coins to my sets. Make sure you take him a drink, treat or lunch as a thank you when you can.

PP, all taken care of, we have been close for years, you are sooo right when you say that having your dealer put things aside for you, he does well by me and always has. A good dealer/friend is very hard to come by, especially one like him, the old school type, good luck, Mike...
