For a type coin, it is beautiful! Average strike, but no extremely flat areas. The obverse toning is very pleasant, with the rim toning and the center a uniform grey color. Not a huge fan of the reverse toning, a little overpowering for my taste. Great eye appeal overall. Tough to see wear solely through photos for this type. I think PCGS said AU-55, possibly 58. Quote: the coin dealer talked about which type of wood cabinet it was most likely kept in based on the color of the toning (apparently walnut leads to blue/green toning? Interesting topic, this would be facinating to thoroughly test. Different woods, stains, and lacquer could have different effects. A lot of old cabinets were lined with velvet, which vividly tones coins. I am not sure exactly what color toning comes from velvet.

@Smat45. I traded in a few coins while upgrading three of my coins. I upgraded my Fugio Cent, my Seated Liberty dollar (that post should still be somewhat fresh on this forum), and my Draped Bust Half Dollar. I traded in my Fugio Cent in an NGC EF(40) holder, my 1842 Seated dollar in a PCGS MS(60) holder, pretty and lustrous, but deserving of its 60, my 1811 Classic Cent in a VF(25) holder, which I no longer want for my type collection, an 1897 Barber dime with nice luster and in a PCGS MS(63) holder, my 1804 Draped Bust Half Cent in a PCGS AU(53) holder, and the rest in cash.

Very nice indeed! These are tough to grade, I'll say AU-55.

Spot on! The new photo makes the coin look fantastic. Better try your best to keep the toning that way. I say you did very well!
