I've been working the past few months to bring my numismatic library up-to-date due to my fairly recent currency addiction . These 4 books arrived today.

The Paper Money of the United States is the 3rd edition (1959) which I found on ebay for less than $10 including shipping - it's in perfect condition other than a bit of wear on the dust jacket. As mentioned in other posts, I'm getting a lot different editions of that reference for a bit of research I'm doing (I'm retired - I have lots of time on my hands!). It's also the edition published in the year of my birth. Now I've got the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th editions, along with the two latest editions. I'll probably try and get the 2nd and 4th editions and be done with it, as those should be enough for what I'm wanting to do.

The Standard Guide to Small-Size U.S. Paper Money was a library copy, but I'd say it had never been checked out as it appears completely new, even though the library acquired it in 2010.

The Guide to Fractional Currency had postage paid like this-

I've not been a stamp collector for decades, though I've got a fairly large accumulation from my younger years. I'll dutifully remove these and add to that old hoard...

Thanks, Coinfrog. While in the past I relied on very basic references like the RedBook and various coin publications for coin information, I've been astounded since joining this forum at my ignorance on a lot of coin-related subjects. I have decent general knowledge attained over the past 55 years or so, but I'm severely lacking in my depth of knowledge, especially on things that are not my core interests.

I'm trying to remedy this, and with me just recently getting started with collecting currency I'm trying to do the right thing from the start! And, of course, this forum has been a great deal of help already in that regard.

I'm 63 years old, but I truly believe you're never too old to learn!

Well done! I still have my old Harris stamp album and a box of unsorted stamps dating from the early 1980s. I still add a stray find to that box now and then.
