Good morning all,

I wanted to see what you all thought of my Shield nickel. This is a 1867 and has several nice and distinct die cracks along the obverse.

I apologize I do not have a full size image of the coin. My phone camera is busted and my scope doesn't have the ability to reduce its magnification enough to get the whole thing. I will work on fixing this issue in the near future.

I was curious is there is any additional premium for this coin and if there is any know classification for this type of thing. I know typically die cracks do not but I did want to ask since it seems to have so many.

Thank you as always for any help given! I always enjoy learning from the rest of ya'll!

Die cracks and Shield nickels go hand-in-hand.
Nickel was still a rather new metal for the Mint and it was giving them grief because of its hardness.
So the planchets were doing a number on the dies.

And I like die cracks.
Gives a coin personality.

Shield nickels are notorious for varieties and errors. Nice sub-set of collecting.
