A big , glad you can ask us!

An easy answer here is this cent just simply received some circulation scratches and dings, exposing the zinc core, so no error, just post mint damage, or what we call PMD for short.

Also it is a thin layer of copper on zinc, that can get removed somehow.

Thank you Mrwhatisit! What confuses me more is the image near the rim where it seems to be bulging out? I was thinking anything raised with no edges would be some sort of error. Sorry for the silly questions!

to the CCF One thing to remember is when you see a gouge with a buildup of metal on the edges, 99.9% of the time it's PMD.
