I had passed this by as the RPM 001, but looking at it again with mint mark overlap, maybe a late stage. I don't see any clash marks like those described but coin is well circulated.

Probably just similar mint mark placement with some damage?

I think you're correct about it being a non-RPM with a similar MM location.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

While the mintmark position is close, it is not a match. This is just a normal die example from that year:

Thanks PetePockets, Coop, and Dearborn. I think it was the bit of over polishing on the north side of the mint mark that made me look again. Good for everyone who is trying to find this one on ebay to note how close the normal mint mark is to the RPM.
