1963-D Quarter Repunched Mint Mark / RPM Or Double D Mint Mark?

I came across this 1963D Quarter with an interesting D Mint Mark. Please take a look and let me know what you all think. I's not sure, these types I of strikes I'm not sure. The second photo is pretty clear, These mint marks throw me for a loop sometimes. Machine Doubling? I thought it might be an RPM, Vista does not show this type. Someone has to know. "LOVE THE HUNT!" For one reason or other, the date and mint was engrave on Maser die more flat. then they transpose to master Hub and then to Working Die. This result that the working Die has flat Date and Mint mark. Any squished on the die during the strike give the impression of the DMM. For 63 I see a few RPM's but not DDMM. The RPM's I see was SEE orientated. Report this Post to the Staff
