ok on the reverse my 1952 S penny what would make it to where it looks like the o is being digitally erased

That is common on these cents. The bust on the obverse is large and takes up a lot of metal to form - this in turn takes up the material that would be needed to form the reverse.

The incuse mark on the letter is coin damage on the 'C' on cent. The distortion was caused by a hit from another coin.
