The weird thing is that although I live in Egypt, I never heard of that story.

Well, I haven't heard any reports on this again like lawsuits, museum requests etc... so I hope the best to them and the governments of both our countries havn't gotten to them!

I just did a search on the article and found three other reports of the same story.

Was the black widow fully recovered from it's injury?

Sorry, anything that comes from a Russian "news" agency needs to be taken with a grain of salt. RIA Novosti is a former Commie mouthpiece similar to Pravda. I refuse to believe it until verified by a reputable news organization Also, I do not read Arabic and have never heard of the Qatari paper so I will not comment on that source.

Hmm...that's interesting, I see the Coin News story too referring to a source in Qatar.
Of course, that's a big story that I would think would get a lot of press directly from Egypt sources.
Well, I hope it turns out to be a real coin

Yes, but it quickly received another injury that no band aid could fix.

That was a year ago. Seems like there would be more on the story by now.
