Possible Doubling On 2003 Lincoln Cent

jimmytol21 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 07/31/2022 3:28 pm I've recently found this 2003 Lincoln Cent. I believe it has a doubled ear. I see no contact marks and the surface is not flat. Any opinions please. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/01/2022 1:30 pm The earlobe is normal in side. It is a contact mark on the year. Not a doubled earlobe. On the doubled earlobes these have a raised area, the enlarges the size of the devices. On your coin is in an incuse mark on the normal design. Not a doubled die. Want to see more about this subject. Check out these images of doubled earlobes and see how the design/fields are showing doubling as the design will show spread and will be raised on these areas.
