Can you post a side shot of the rim where this is happening, looks like PMD.

Looks like damage...but there may have been a minor Cud that got folded over...edge pic too blurry. KK

I'm not seeing any Blakesly effect on the opposite side which leads me to damage as well.

Quote:ok so just a weak strike on reverse for Cuds. That is correct, with larger Cuds the weakness is more obviouse and is on the opposite side of the coin where the cudd appears. With this, I imagine I would see weakness of the last digit in the date. There also appears to be a gap between the event and the rim. I haven't seen any examples of a folded rim cudd though and the rim picture is hard to judge.

Much better pictures. Id say PMD based.on the new images, looked like metal was shifted from the rim inwards.

I would conclude that it is just pushed over metal from the edge.

I feel this is a Cud with damage on the top of the Cud. Why did I use the term 'Top?" On a Cud it will rise higher than the surface. At first I thought it was a strong die crack. But the last image was convincing to me. It is taller than the rim, it is a Cud with some surface contact. If it were damage, and was a normal rim, it would still be below the surface of the rim. It is not, so I feel this is a Cud. Nice find. If the last image would have been posted first, it would have been a no brainer on this one.
