I'm thinking about getting this, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price they're asking for. I see somewhere between AU-55 and AU-58 but I would appreciate some help.

I'm not seeing wear...if the verdigris is removed it might be a MS coin.

A British GEF , and best hope you can remove the verdigris
without leaving any black spots or it is toast .
These 50 per cent silver coins can react in a
funny way to restorative processes .
Look for something nicer in my opinion .
They are not super expensive in choice grade .

How much is it in this condition? I'm looking everywhere but this is the only one I can find without paying shipping.

It needs a soak in Acetone to remove the green slime. I think it will grade MS-62 once the green is removed. It was caused from storage in a PVC holder.

The Verdigris is pretty bad and in the wrong places. I agree with Pacific coin and would say its almost Uncirculated as these coins were notoriously poorly struck and the King is very faint.

The Tails side is very nice with sharper details.

Cost wise, these are cheap up to gVF but rise exponentially above it. Figure £25+ for EF and £50 or more for UNC, with the verdigris, this coin would come in at the lower figure.

AU but with severe verdigris.
