Hi Folks, I came across this coin, and noticed something odd on it, especially near the "5" in the date. I tried taking the best shots I could, and I was hoping you can tell me what I am looking at on this coin.
It is a die chip. The 1950's Wheat cent dies were over used, so it is common to find cracks/chips/breaks/BIE's/and other die events on this series. So they happened to often, to make them worth a premium..
Still a lot of reflection on your photo but from what I can see, it is a die chip. Also die chips are not considered errors, they are just part of the minting process.
