Hi Folks,
I came across this coin, and noticed something odd on it, especially near the "5" in the date. I tried taking the best shots I could, and I was hoping you can tell me what I am looking at on this coin.

Thank you so much!
Regards

Although your images are not very clear, but it looks like there is a die chip in the 5 of date.

It is a die chip. The 1950's Wheat cent dies were over used, so it is common to find cracks/chips/breaks/BIE's/and other die events on this series. So they happened to often, to make them worth a premium..

Thank you.
It is odd, though, how whatever it is, i.e. die chip, is shaped like the bottom of the "5"?

Looks like a die crack/chip.You can buy a clip-on magnifier for not much on the bay.

Still a lot of reflection on your photo but from what I can see, it is a die chip.
Also die chips are not considered errors, they are just part of the minting process.
