Hi,

This is an Archbishopric of Cologne 8 Heller - Maximilian Heinrich 1681-1688

The only link I can find on Numista is this one
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces115549.html

But the reverse legend seems to be different - so presumably it's a variety. would anyone have a better reference than just KM66?

thanks

I had posted this query on another forum but it dropped off the page with no responses :(

@bacc, perhaps Die Münzen und Medaillen von Köln by Walter Hävernick and Alfred Noss would be useful. I actually don't own this reference so can't speak to its completeness.

Hi, Thanks very much for that pointer. It's not a reference I have and am really unlikely to get one as I have so few coins from that time and place. But if I come across an online version I can check it out.

I often find that MA-Shops is a good place to do research on German coins form this era for questions like this.

Indeed, the Numista listing shows a 1681, but for 1684, initials IPL are present: https://www.ma-shops.com/olding2/it...hp?id=266167

Yes - MA shops can be a great resource for this sort of thing. I used to purchase a few coins from there but some of the prices are quite eye-watering so less so now
