Nice coin loonielewy and amazing group NumisRob! Here is some more 1944 Florin - very nice UNC Thought I had taken photos of my 1943 and 1944 halfcrowns, but I havent. These are not as nice as the others, only high VF. So I guess we have to wait until 1942 for more Halfcrowns, although I have nice Florins for those years New Guinea Penny (2nd issue, first in 1936) and 3 pence (2nd issue, first in 1935) - the 6d was issued in 1935 and 1943. These coins were only issued for a few years between 1935 and 1945 The penny, 3d and 6d were issued only in 2 years and the shillings in 4 years (1935, 1936, 1938 and 1945). Metals were bronze for pennies, cupronickel for 3d and 6d and the shillings were sterling silver. All coins had holes for the natives to carry around esily on strings and necklaces. This does not include the ultra rare 1929 patterns.
