Some interesting similarities of design to this Groschen from Prussia under Polish Rule. It was minted at Thorn in 1535 AD:   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

That's a nice 1535 groschen! I think the common history behind both of those 1535 coins (my Elbing and your Thorn) has to do with the gradual incorporation of much of the former "Prussian" (Teutonic Order) lands under the Polish crown between the mid-15th to mid-16th centuries. Here is the 1534 version   and it was a transition year from an earlier bust with a more prominent crown and a goofy pageboy haircut:   |

nice pair of Groschen  for 1534 here is a taler-sized religious silver cast and gilded medal from Eastern Europe (engraver: Hieronymus Magdeburger ), mounted in original pendant setting  OBV Judas kisses Jesus  REV Joab stabs Amasa in the back while he embraces him |

That is a pretty cool religious medal @1c5. Here is a tiny (13 mm), uniface Pfennig from the German Countship of Oettingen. It is dated 1533 AD and is listed in Saurma as #1434.   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
