I just remember 20th Century Fox, last century.
The 13th century would refer to the years 1201 to 1300.
The same thing has tripped me up in the past as it does seem counter intuitive at face value.

While you folks sort out timing which century we are in, I'm going to post another 1459-dated Kreuzer From Wiener-Neustadt. This one looks a bit more coin-like in that the flan cracks aren't so deep.

Nope - 1400 is the last year of the 14th century and 1401 is the first year of the 15th. There was no century zero either

Oh my! I fell into my own trap! Sorry my friends, fighting off a late season cold and allergies with the flip-flopping weather here. Pseudoephedrine is a bad, bad thing.

I've got another Kreuzer for today. This one is dated 1458 AD and is attributed as Levinson IV-5a.

I'm not sure if I have a 1457.
Won't know until the weekend.
I think others have these covered. I think my next may be 1455

Sorry but I forgot to post this yesterday. This Hungarian Denar can be dated to 1457 AD. I have attributed it as Frynas H.33.37 and Huszar 668.

It's weird to realize that this edition is already farther on than the 6th was when it caught up with the 5th... and yet there are still nearly two months (at least) to go.

The progress in the 6th edition in the last sixteen months had been little short of miraculous (and it's probably going some way further yet in the remaining time, too).

This uniface Pfennig from the Duchy of Styria is dated 1456 AD. I have attributed it as Levinson IV-2 and Szego 2L20.
