I'm confused as to why this edition hasn't caught up to the previous one. Can't you all just post the same coins you posted last time.

Can't you all just post the same coins you posted last time The seventh is catching up, but a few factors are determining the rate of progress. 1. We can't recede more than one year per day. 2. Some members who have participated may not show up for extended periods for various reasons.... life gets in the way sometimes. 3. And some really annoying newbies (like myself), keep acquiring gap year coins and then post them into the sixth edition, which pushes the goal posts a bit farther back in time (and with NO shame!) Nonetheless the end for the 6th edition is rapidly approaching, and unless someone has a sneaky 1372 C.E / AH 773 coin to post, then this seventh edition could possibly catch up in a little over a month.

Good explanation @ttk. Here is my 1405-dated Groschen from Aachen:

Quote: Good explanation @ttk. Yes, some of us occasionally go a day or two without logging on to CCF . (retirement has gotten REALLY busy at our house this summer). My undated grosso of the Florentine Republic is dateable to 1405 by the mint master's mark:

...The roman numeral-dated coins are very interesting, as are the Arabic coins...enjoying viewing them ... ...Before I list this 1401 New Orleans mint silver dollar, should I submit it for authentication?
