I have several that have scratches on them that really show up big time when I try to photograph them.

Anyone have a tried and proven way to make these plastic tombs crystal clear again?

I have never used this myself (since I do not have any slabbed coins), but others have used a headlight lens restoration product available at many auto parts stores.

The best stuff I ever used is called SLAB-RENEW. It works real nice and you can find it on ebay its about $15.00 for 4 oz bottle and that will last you for about hundred slabs. It works on fine scratches very nicely and will reduce deeper ones to a dull roar. You have to remember the deeper ones their is not much you can do with. I have been using this stuff for a couple of years and it never changed or discolored the slab you just have to use a very soft cloth when using this stuff. I would say its the safest stuff to use. So go to ebay in search type in SLAB-RENEW and it will come up. I don't have a phone number to give you but I have an address
SLAB-RENEW

Check it out and if you have any problems just drop me a line.

Go to your local auto parts store and get some headlight lens polish, much cheaper than the stuff specifically marketed for slabs and is essentially the same thing.

Absolutely. It works and is cheaper and no postage or shipping and handling.

Thanks Norseman for your kind endorsement of Slab-Renew. We do feel it is the best product available for rejuvenating scratched and scuffed certified coin holders. The product will also easily remove glue and sticker residue left from dealer price stickers or auction lot number stickers. You are welcome to try automotive products but most are made specifically for ABS plastic, and the results may not be as good as the results you will see from Slab-Renew. No brag, just fact. We have sold our product in over 15 countries around the world and have perfect feedback from our 1000+ customers. Thanks for listening to my shameless commercial. //David
