This looks like a Grease Filled Die.
Suffering from bust half fever.

If I look well to the coin and how the design is flattered, show that it is PMD. Grease accumulation for this year of strike do not exist or could be.

With both obverse and reverse effected at almost at the same area, this might be a tapered planchet. Never seen it in a newer nickel. Can you see any taper? Weight?

It weighs 5 grams and is even all around, so it can't be tapered right?

You're right John, I didn't think about the rims. A taper depending on severity would be light. Ok at 5 it's grease.

This type of error is called a Struck Through Grease filled die (or just "filled die") error." 2005 seemed to be a big year for greasers, the 2005 Kansas State Quarter "In God We Rust" Error was that same year. There are 4-5 of the nickels on ebay at the moment in the same area.
