1824 Bust Half Dollar

To provide the viewer with images that could be downloaded, enlarged and yet still retain their quality (the 300kb max image size rule is a difficult one to work with for everyone involved), I employed an image hosting service. I hope it helps.:

Beautiful O-113. This one is an AU-58, PCGS probably said MS.
Suffering from bust half fever.

There seems to be a tiny amount of wear on the high points of Lib's hair, long since patinated over.

I don't know enough about this series
to be sure if those tiny flat areas are are wear, or the result of a slightly weak strike, the reverse does not suffer nearly as much from this phenomenon. Center of the stars are a bit flat as well.

Residual luster under the patina

I will say
AU-58, but if no wear, then MS-63.

I'm so cynical about Trueview pics that I'll have to agree, MS-63.

Could be a slider, but I'll say MS63. Nice example.

I don't see any wear. Luster isn't super strong but does appear to be intact across the fields. Original surfaces, adequate strike, and excellent eye appeal round out the description.
I'll venture MS-64. A beautiful example!

It has been 2 days, 18 hours, 43 minutes and 1 second since I posted this coin, so I am closing it out now.

CCF members were split on this one.

PCGS AU-58

This coin is a part of Simco Coins inventory. Basically, Larry Shepherd has the same thing to say about the coin as CCF consensus does.

tough grade for a stunning piece. I still think the coin is MS. however we are looking at a trueview photo. I would rather have a stunning AU58 that a crappy looking MS63 any day.

although its beautiful piece its priced at full retail and almost double what any recent auctions show they hammered at
