Hi again folks. I am re-posting with what I hope are better photos.
I don't think this coin was cleaned as there is a very nice cartwheel effect. Just trying to understand Morgan grades. If not at least 60 points, please offer why....bag marks aside (mind you, hair definition above ear is better than photo shows....hard to capture)
Am new to this site & love it already. A wealth of info .

Nice luster but it's been lightly scuffed up.

i have to base my grade on what I see or perceive using the photos provided. in this case under the toning i;m seeing dull fields particularly at obv K1 under BUS and under the chin. I'm saying the coin was either dipped or cleaned OR the coin was circulated or both. there are areas on the reverse fields as well.

i dont think the coin is MS and if it is it would be UNC details
in this case I'm going with AU58 straight

From these photos I actually think the cuts look quite deep and the lustre seems dull or missing. The reverse is much better than the obverse, it might make AU58 but I'm going with AU55.

TobyJ. you may be correct with your grade of AU55. I think it could swing either way. in fact I'm going to lower my grade to AU55 particularly because of the lack of luster. I like to see much more luster for a 58 than what I'm seeing here on second look
Rest in Peace

I lean towards AU 55 due to the surfaces on the face and obverse fields.
