Don't see doubling, but always say in your post where you are seeing it. We need to focus on what you are seeing as images are only so good. Some pretty good varieties have been discovered here so tell us lots of details.

Regarding pricing, my experience has been "its whatever someone is willing to pay at the time". Doubled Dies, especially from the 80s is quite a niche. A lot of the collectors IMO are more inclined to roll hunt their own than simply buy one, and be content with whatever they find for face value.

Within these years, there can be multiple DD varieties with varying degrees of doubling and scarcity. Plus, are we talking an AU or a GEM Red MS66+ specimen? If its an MS 62/63, what's the eye appeal? When these come across auctions like Great Collections, there is a lot of variability in the hammer IMO. Sometimes I think, WOW! Someone just dropped $200 on that? Glad it wasn't me! A month later someone wins for $50, and I think I might have wanted to jump into that.

If I was PCGS/NGC, I wouldn't want to open the rabbit hole of tracking the grade/pricing fluxuations to produce a price guide on these. They are guaranteed to publish something wrong.

PS - Many are rather subtle and demand is niche and sublte where values might only be $2-20. Odds of getting rich are not good, maybe covers lunch.
