Quote: How many fingers are on YOUR Right Hand? Didn't see that one coming! Her left hand looks odd too, along with L and I of LIBERTY at the wrong angles. The picture in the auction is out of round so is difficult to attempt an overlay but after comparing side-by-side I do now see odd differences in the real vs auction coin. Real.. or Memorex? Edited to clarify

The "6" in the date and the "berries" on the branch(reverse)are wrong and typical of the China fakes. The overall "washed out look" always should arouse suspicion on Trade dollars. My guess is this one is fake.

Uh...I just noticed the name of the ebay seller, and think he might be a member here. He may have read our comments, and it's to his credit that he ended this auction.

Mushroom.. are you sure of what you say, or are you guessing? The auction states: The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale. If it is indeed a fake, he may not have known. It would be nice to at least give him the chance to say something before bashing his motives.

Quote: It is a shame when people try to scam some one like that Sadly there are ebay sellers who knowingly sell fakes. Some sellers honestly don't know enough about the coins they sell though. Sure he might have been ripped off but he also might not have known either. Almost all of our members are above reproach and it looks like the auction was ended honorably. Please don't blindly assume someones intentions without knowing all the circumstances.

Happens to the best of us. Here and here. The COAs are fake too. Ended the listings as soon as we found out and would have reimbursed with a smile if it was after the sale.

I agree on what you say, but I think this seller is not trying to scam anyone as proof of his withdrawing the auction. We can always make mistakes and it is an honor to accept the mistake done when you make it. Give the guy a credit he has 100% rating on ebay.
