Checked VV, Wex and CC no DDR listed for a 1974 D reverse. Might be a small die chip.

Thoughts on Statues left leg deformation.

Your coin looks like the 1974-D Small date. The reverses were different on the large and small dates.

Variety Vista only shows one reverse for that year on the reverse, but they are different. (the large date has the full lines under the statue) They note the large and small dates for 1974, but I noticed the reverses being different years ago.
