I'll say AU-50 and AU-53 (perhaps 55), respectively.

Thanks guys. I was not sure. AU-50 is really lower than I thought though. Do you think the marks are this bad?

OK,I'm going to say it.Fake and Fake! The luster on both coins doesn't seem right on the surfaces. After looking at thousands of them to purchase myself I would pass. Also the toning on the first doesn't look natural. P.S.Where's the common bag marks that all Morgan's have in almost any grade. They are not there.

Hm, I do see some bag marks.
Anyone else seeing sth. that points to a fake?

AU-53 and AU-58 Details Cleaned. I see no red flags that point to these coins being counterfeit. The lighting is a bit strange which may produce some odd effects. Quote: P.S.Where's the common bag marks that all Morgan's have in almost any grade. They are not there. I don't think it is reasonable to say that because it doesn't have certain bag marks then it is counterfeit.

What did you think could these be dents,I say no.Could it be cast where all the metal didn't fill in.We don't have a magnet and we can't weigh them. The bag marks just don't look natural, that's all. Can you imagine a wagon full of bagged coins coming from Carson City with no modern suspension bouncing around on ruff dirt roads going hundreds of miles.I've been on ghost town roads in Nevada in a Jeep getting beat up on the off-road trip.Maybe that's why the CC faces are so banged up.I know these aren't CC's just giving an example. Sorry just giving my opinion on these coins they just look strange.

I think the surfaces of these coins do not look cast.

Look OK to me, both AU, with the 1889 in slightly better condition. Seem like decent, circulated examples suitable for a date or type set. Worth maybe $40 each in the US market.
