This is another coin that I bid on and did not win tonight. The TI/TII variety is on the scarcer side of the 76-S T$1 varieties. The coin was bid to $190.XX with a few minutes to go so I placed a bid a little over $400. Well I was outbid by 3 people including the eventual winner who bid over $737 which surprised me. The listing had 6 terrible out of focus pictures and two that made it possible to actually see the coin, although not the best. See those better pictures below.

For the coin to be worth $737, it would have to grade AU58 or thereabout. Do you think it makes AU58?

I bid 250 on this myself
AU Details cleaned.
Plus appears to have large scratches on obverse.
Someone got taken .
Type II/II is scarcer and type II/II with large S is very rare.
This looks like Tye II/II with medium S

I find it odd that the seller referred to this coin with "Statue Of Liberty" in the listing title. It was struck several years before the dedication of the land mark mentioned.

Even if it has high AU or Unc sharpness, it's a problem coin with a past cleaning and possible ED under the black areas. Not a smart buy IMO.

with the above comments and not sure it would be a got bet at $400. I think it would grade at AU55 details due to eye appeal and missing luster I dont think its strong enough to pull a 58. so better off not getting this one.
