Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 08/22/2022 09:31 am to the CCF! I see what looks like Progressive Indirect Design Transfer (PIDT) on this coin. This is caused by the repeated pressure of the huge number of strikes the dies make. A slight 'ghost' image can be transferred to the opposite die without the dies touching each other. It's like a die clash, but not as well defined. I think this is what caused the slight halo effect around the Torch/Olive Branch/Oak Branch on the reverse of your coin with the shape of Roosevelt's bust from the obverse die. It's considered a form of Die Deterioration and adds no premium to the coin's value. ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T!
